CMA-304 Intro to Healthcare

Introduction to Healthcare: Anatomy and Physiology and Personability for Healthcare Workers | Learn medical terminology, including prefixes and suffixes, word roots, and medical abbreviations. Use concepts presented in a body systems approach that emphasizes key anatomical and physiological terms. Study biological chemistry, cell structure and function, tissues and the histology, gross anatomy, and physiology of integumentary, skeletal, muscle, and nervous systems. Recognize essential attributes of a healthcare worker to include verbal and nonverbal communication, and how it relates to patient relations and clinical procedures. Textbook information available at AACC Bookstore. CEUs issued. $1,015 includes $230 fee. Note: Students must be 18 years old. Corequisites: CMA-303: Medical Assisting Externship, CMA-305: Clinical Medical Assistant I, and CMA-306: Clinical Medical Assisting II.
