A Little More

Sean Moorhouse has spent over 25 years in emergency services. He’s a lieutenant in special operations for Prince George’s County Fire and Emergency Medical Services (EMS), but he’s also teaching the next generation of EMS workers at AACC.

“I’m passionate about student success and creating future leaders in the EMS system,” he said. “As society ages, EMS clinicians are playing a vital role in healthcare both during emergencies and in preventative medicine. By teaching students the knowledge and skills in prehospital medicine, we are creating clinicians who will lead the profession into the next iteration of practice.”

Moorhouse has been teaching at AACC since 2019. Supportive colleagues and the college’s focus on student success are what he loves most about the college. He describes AACC students as having a “thirst for knowledge and commitment to learning. In turn, his students describe him as “fair but firm.”

“If students communicate and work with me as an instructor, I will work with them to achieve success.”
