On June 4, 2025, Anne Arundel Community College recognized 249 students who completed one of six allied healthcare programs. The programs included more than 2,700 hours of classroom, lab and clinical education and training total.
The recognized programs prepare students for important roles in the region’s healthcare workforce.
“Our allied healthcare programs are a vital part of that workforce pipeline helping to fill in-demand roles at hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities and more,” Dana Marron, assistant dean, School of Continuing Education and Workforce Development, said during the event. “These completers are not just entering the job market; they're strengthening the health and the resiliency of our local community.”
Other speakers included students, Bryan Barshick, DNP, RN, associate chief nursing officer of ambulatory services at Johns Hopkins Health System, and Grant Dopheide, volunteer services and patient and family advisory manager at UM Baltimore Washington Medical Center.
